Children are integral to the Church of Our Saviour community. In addition to weekly Christian Education classes, we offer a variety of programs for fun, friendship, and spiritual growth. For specific dates relating to children's ministries events and activities, see the ACORN.

New faces are always welcome, so bring your children and their friends! Parents are key to the success of these programs, so we hope that you will become involved!

CHILDREN'S PROGRAM
We offer Christian education classes for children pre-K through 5th grade. Church School classes meet Sunday mornings on the lower level from 9:50-10:55 a.m. from September through May.

The church school classrooms host an Open House on September 12th at 10:00 a.m. and classes begin on September 19th.

Children ages 3-7 are using the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd - Christian formation material. See here for more information on the Catechesis program.

Children in grades 2-5 use the Living the Good News curriculum. Read more about it here.

NURSERY
Church of Our Saviour has a fully-staffed nursery available every Sunday from 8:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m.

Children up to 4 years old are welcome in the nursery where diaper changing services are provided. During your child's first visit to the nursery, our trained staff will ask you to complete a registration form. Once your child is registered, you will simply need to sign your child in and out of the nursery.

When you sign your child into the nursery, you will be asked to identify where you can be found in the unlikely event that your child needs you. Each time your child attends the nursery, please be sure to share any important information about your child with our staff so that they can best meet his or her needs. Should you have any questions, our church and nursery staff would be happy to answer them.

Children 3 and over, who are potty-trained and ready for preschool, may participate in the Church School Atrium – Catechesis of the Good Shepherd - located in the Church School wing.

CHILDREN'S MUSIC
Music educator Donna Rehorn leads a program of fun, uplifting music for children and youth. The program includes both choir and music as part of weekly Christian Education. She directs the Saint Nicholas Choir for children in grades 2 through 6.

ACOLYTE PROGRAM
Active participation in worship can be a great way to develop a child's faith. We welcome children (grade 4 and up), as well as youth and adults to serve as acolytes at our Sunday services. SUMMER CELEBRATION
Every summer we offer a week-long, half-day Summer Celebration every year for children 4 and up, with Bible studies, singing & dancing, games, crafts, fun snacks, and lots of fun! To see for yourself, check out the last year's Summer Celebration photos from our photo gallery here.

The 2011 Summer Celebration will take place July 11-15. Registration information will be available in May.
